QJMotor’s four-cylinder SRK 800 RR sportsbike, which has competed in the World Supersport championship, is now available in the UK priced from £6999 plus OTR charges.
The winged supersport bike, which shares some styling resemblance with CFMoto’s 675SR-R triple is being imported by Moto73 Ltd and sits as part of a 16-strong line-up that will be available this summer.
“We are proud to introduce QJMotor in the United Kingdom – an exciting new chapter in the British motorcycle market,” a spokesperson for the importer said.
“The range from QJMotor is not only impressive and diverse, but also technically very high. This is a true premium brand and we’ll be working hard to give as many riders as possible a chance to demo ride these incredible bikes.”
With a manageable 810mm seat height, a 16-litre fuel capacity, and gently set clip on bars, the SRK should be relatively easy to manage on the road. The 778cc inline-four engine also meets Euro5+ homologation, with the full bike tipping the scales at 214kg.
Although that might not sound like a lot, a fellow four-pot Honda CBR600RR (which has a larger 18-litre fuel tank) gets a claimed kerb weight of 193kg. A quick glance at fellow rival, the Yamaha R9, also shows a claimed weight of 195kg.
Away from the scales, the Chinese machine produces a claimed 120.7bhp at 12,000rpm, plus 54.6lb.ft of torque at 9500rpm. The motor itself is a 778cc, DOHC 16v unit, with a bore and stroke of 67mm x 55mm.
Exhausts sweep to the right-hand side like a Honda CBR650R, with a right-side exit exhaust mounted just below a remote shock adjuster enjoying styling reminiscent of an Akrapovič end can.
Elsewhere and impressive for the asking price, is a set of four-piston radially mounted front brake calipers complete with 320mm discs. A twin-piston Brembo stopper is also found at the rear, with cornering ABS onboard thanks to a six-axis IMU.
Marzocchi suspension is adjustable at both ends and a front tyre size of 120/70×17 and a rear of 180/55×17 should provide plenty of aftermarket options for quality sporty road rubber.
The goodies don’t end there either, with a five-inch TFT dash, plus traction control and a ride-by-wire throttle to allow for both cruise control and an up/down quickshifter.
The QJMotor Factory Racing team is currently competing in the World Supersport championship using the SRK with past winners Raffaele de Rosa and Niki Tuuli.
